Seattle Public Library – USA

The Seattle Public Library (SPL) is the public library system serving Seattle, Washington, USA. It was officially established by the city in 1890, though there had been efforts to start a Seattle library as early as 1868. There are 26 branches in the system, most of them named after the neighborhoods in which they are located. Also included are Mobile Services and the Central Library (opened 2004, designed by Rem Koolhaas). The Seattle Public Library also founded, and until July 2008 administered, the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library (WTBBL).

National Mall and Memorial Parks – Washington – United States of America

National Mall and Memorial Parks is a symbol of national identity and history of the American people. It is a large complex of parks, memorials and sports facilities in the territory of Washington, DC National Mall Memorial Parks and was established in 1965. Its function is to protect historically valuable parks commemorating national history, thanks for the courage and sacrifice of war veterans and a celebration of freedom and equality as fundamental values of the American nation.

The complex consists of an assembly of Parks, Washington Monument, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, World War II Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial, George Mason Memorial, Garden Constitutions, approximately 60 sculptures and many other historical monuments, parks.
